HH Product Update – What we did in August

Carry on reading if you’re curious about what HH Tech got up to in August.

Last month in our ‘Saying Hello’ section, we introduced you to Brandon, our newest developer. At the time, we hadn’t confirmed whether he was a fan or, indeed, had ever watched Game of Thrones before. If you don’t watch it at all, skip to the next section..

For those of you who do watch it, we have great news. Brandon is a BIG fan! In his first week, he was awarded the coveted ‘Hub Star’ award (our version of employee of the week). No mean feat for even a seasoned Hubster.

ALL HAIL KING BRAN! First of his Name, King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the 6 Kingdoms and Protector of the Hub!

Anyway, back to business…

Agency Metrics

Our beta recruitment agency metrics widget is now live and has been switched on for some of our new recruitment agency users.

We’re testing the metrics with new users to understand how tracking performance from the beginning of their membership influences ongoing behaviour on the platform.

So far, the metrics have proven popular and useful. More consideration is being taken by our users over recording the candidate progression through the recruitment processes and using application actions within the platform.

As a reminder, these are the application actions of which we speak – employer and recruitment agency respectively.

We made a small change to the metrics shown in the July blog, and this is what they look like now. Ta-daaaah!

We’re keen to find out what our users truly think of these metrics and if there’s any other stats they’d like to see on there too. So if you have any feedback for us, we’re all ears.

Performance Profiling

The performance of our platform is really important to us, particularly for our mobile users.

We’ve been going through each page with a fine tooth comb to see how we’re currently doing and what we can do to improve.

Much of our recent work has improved our performance ahead of this check. Even the pages with lower scores, actually have good scores. Yay!

Despite this, we still have some pesky pages lurking. Fear not reader – we have a host of weapons in our arsenal to get these pages back up to speed with the others.  We’ll be ticking these off in the coming weeks.

Post a job form

We’ve been working on an updated experience for new employers –  the all-important first job post. The focus of this work has been to make the experience more seamless for new users and bring this flow closer to the in-app experience.

This will be going live next month, so let us know what you think!

Notifications

This month, we’ve been working on another notification for our recruitment agency users. Designed to alert recruitment agencies when a job has been placed on hold, and when that job is no longer on hold.

The on hold status is used by our employers to pause new submissions, and allow them to process submitted candidates without becoming overwhelmed.

We’ve got loads more on our to-do list, but we’ll keep you posted. As always, we love hearing your feedback on any changes and updates, so don’t be shy!
