Product Updates | August and September

 

Hello! We are happy to be back to you sharing our latest updates we’ve managed to have before summer finishes!

Moving on, we managed to add more features to enhance the value proposition of HH platform and meet our customers’ needs. Let’s review…

 

New Frontend Developer onboard

While focusing on implementing the features on the backend side, we needed to have our own Chris as a frontend developer to take care of all the UX/UI work besides the frontend functionality to make growth easier for our customers together with our backend developers.

Chris has already smashed it! He upgraded the current forms to build a smooth journey while using the platform during the sign-up, adding new candidates and editing the current ones, and enhancing the performance of the heavy loading pages with new filter upgrades like the ‘Your Jobs’ page on both employers’ and recruiters’ side. Yet, he’ll be improving some other pages like the ‘Candidates’ page and ‘Your Account’ page from the performance and security side. Calendar Integration

Time is precious. Thinking of our employers and how to save their time on handling the interviews booked with different candidates, we’ve added calendar integrations so they can add the interview details to their personal calendar. We send an interview confirmation email that has a plugin to add it to different calendar platforms that save their administration efforts to track the progress of several interviews. This will take into account the different time zones so it will work out the time based on the email settings.

The recruiters can also now decide on the duration of the interview as we’ve added a start time and an ending time to give the ability to set the interview duration.

 

Forward to Hiring Managers

To help companies that wanted to get a Hiring Manager’s view on a candidate’s CVs without creating specific accounts for them on the HH platform, we’ve implemented the ability to add several domains to the company profile and then share the CV with the Hiring Managers by sending them a link via email. All that the employers need is to arrange with their account manager to add the required domains at the backend side and then they can select the domain they need, add the HM email and click send. The link sent by email will be valid only as long as the candidate is active and once the candidate is placed, rejected, withdrawn or the job has been filled or closed then the link will not work anymore. HM won’t be able to download the CV for security reasons, so it’s only for them to view it on the browser and share their feedback by email.

We’ve switched this feature on so it’s now live, ready for our employers to test and share their feedback and any other suggestions for our tech team to enhance.

 

Parent-Child Account

To allow companies of different campuses/ offices/ locations to have a parent account to get a high-level overview of what’s happening in terms of jobs posted, placements, and insights, we’ve developed a Parent account type that links all the other locations under one account in a parent-child relationship. The Parent account can get an overview of the aggregate data of all the children’s accounts, but also can filter by child to view the data in each location separately. This is also helpful when different departments/ teams of the same company want to join the platform under the umbrella of one main account for the company as a Parent to give each department the ability to set their profile and lead the recruitment process within their team.

 

Diversity and Inclusion

To help our clients that proactively want to create more diverse and inclusive environments, we have improved tracking diversity data by providing monthly reports and recently added last month’s gender pipeline per job. 

We also would like to share with you some of our DnI results of the survey we’ve had internally. At Hiring Hub we have 70% between 25 and 34 years old, 35% women, and 35% of Black and Minority ethnic groups. To interpret this data and enhance the DnI representative in our team, we’ve started a new forum to take the lead on the DnI activities and execute the DnI strategy at HH. We are starting by educating the team and expanding their knowledge so we will be looking at helpful resources to learn from. Also, run a couple of events like the one we’ve had on Pride Day.

 

There has been some debate about using the term BAME. So we are just using it at a high level and understand that BAME doesn’t mean everyone is the same or has the same needs and we’re trying to use the more granular data to help us learn internally.

 

What’s Happening Now/Next 

Partner Network

To help our employers who struggle to find a specialised agency to work on a specific role, we are starting a new community of agencies calling it Partner Network.

The Partner Network is a platform that allows the recruiters to work on jobs that are specifically selected for them from our employers.

The product team has done the user flows and mapped them out to user stories, and the tech team broke it down into tech/div tasks that they are ready to kick off next week.

Your Account Upgrade

To help our employers and recruiters take control over their account settings, we are running UX/UI improvements so they can set/ change a strong password, the notifications’ settings, the privacy and security. Our tech team is introducing a new layout of the ‘Your Account’ with implementation to all these new options to keep the account highly secured. The UX/UI is ready and the Product team mapped this out to user flow and user stories ready for our tech team to kick off. Will keep you posted once this is live.
