Hiring Hub Product Update – What we did in November

Hello and welcome to the penultimate Hiring Hub product update for 2019! For those of you who know our office, for months we’ve been wrapped in plastic and scaffolding but we can now finally see the Manchester rain in all its glory! We’re really feeling festive now.

Interactive Kanban

Last month we introduced you the interactive kanban – a faster way to action candidates directly from the kanban board. Requesting and confirming interviews and offers has never been easier.

This month, we switched on the kanban for our employer and recruitment agency users! At Hiring Hub HQ, we were all very excited to see this ship to our users – we’ve enjoyed using it so much ourselves. User feedback is really positive and we’re looking forward to even more users dragging and dropping.

Overhaul of Lists!

October saw HH Tech redesigning the ‘Your Jobs’ page for our recruitment agency users. November saw us redesigning the ‘Candidates’ list for them. As a refresher, this is what the ‘Your Jobs’ page will look like:

User research told us that these lists were adding friction into the recruitment process by not being the easiest to use.

We focussed our efforts on understanding what needed to be faster – finding jobs and candidates in the lists.

By incorporating search functionality alongside better filtering capabilities, we’ve created a step change in the user-friendliness of the ‘Your Jobs’ and ‘Candidates’ pages.  Final testing is underway and their release is imminent so, recruitment agencies, keep your eyes peeled!

Agency Profile Page

As part of the wider site refresh, this month, the recruitment agency profile page has been in our crosshairs. As a reminder, this is the current state of affairs:

The purpose of the redesign of this page is to build in the ability for an employer user to look at the profile page and make a decision on whether to engage that recruitment agency on their role or not, and easily compare one recruitment agency to another. By understanding the pieces of information required from employer users to make that decision, we can equip the recruitment agencies with a new page that’s full of this key information.

An important aspect of this is performance. Over the past months, we’ve been surfacing performance metrics to our employer and recruitment agency users and we’re seeing a change in behaviour as a result. The subset of the performance metrics displayed to our recruitment agencies will be visible on the page, for employers to view. For all of our recruitment agencies reading, this is what we meant when we said your metrics would be visible to employers..

Another way to look at it is we’re building more inherent value into the profiles of our recruitment agencies.

The profile is the proverbial shop window for our recruitment agencies, and if their window is jazzy and ticks all the boxes, you’re going to spend time making sure it stays that way.

Unfortunately, there are no sneak peaks at this page for now. We don’t want to ruin the surprise.

See you in the next decade!
