Product Updates | What’s New!

Afternoon! Here at Hiring Hub, we’re on a quest to become the #1 recruitment platform for helping employers and recruiters to work better together. We’ve made a series of key updates since the start of 2021 to get us closer to that goal. Let’s review…

New Product Manager onboard

To focus on shaping our product and meet our business requirements, I have joined as the new product manager of Hiring Hub. I work closely with the tech team, operations and customer success teams to ensure the product satisfies the market’s needs and our clients’ expectations. I also make sure to stay connected to our users and customers to demo any new feature, get their feedback and thoughts, and run design thinking workshops to improve the product and meet their needs. Currency Feature

Highly requested and highly anticipated, we’ve added a new currency feature to Portal so employers can create new jobs in Euro, work with recruiters without any need for currency conversion, and view account information not just in GBP but also in EUR. This new feature was built for a key client in Germanyand will allow us to grow our client base in mainland Europe.

For now, we’ll set up a client’s account on a default currency; either GBP or EUR. So an employer will only be able to work in one currency at a time. In the future, we’ll build out this feature to allow clients to choose between different currencies from one account.

Multiple Positions

To help companies that wanted to recruit multiple candidates for the same role, our tech team has added a new option called ‘Multiple Positions.’ This allows an employer to specify how many positions they would like to recruit for each job and allow them to follow the process in one place. Saving time and admin, while simplifying the job uploading flow and the agency/ candidate management to improve the user experience.

We’ve switched this feature on so it’s now live, ready for our employers to test and share their feedback and any other suggestions for our tech team to enhance.

Diversity and Inclusion

Companies are waking up to the benefits of diversity in the workplace, which can be a real asset for them and their employees in its capacity to promote innovation, creativity, and empathy in ways that homogeneous environments rarely do. Yet it takes careful nurturing and conscious orchestration to unleash the true potential and realise the value of a diverse organisation.

We’ve been asking the question: how can we help our clients that proactively want to create more diverse and inclusive environments? And to this end have already begun tracking diversity data for some clients, and providing monthly reports.

Internally, too, we’ve started a study to collect data of the Hiring Hub team to help us understand the diversity presentation level and think of future plans to enhance that. While we are doing that internally, we are aiming to help our clients get benefit out of so will be looking at areas like:

  • General information on the personal characteristics of the employee.
  • Information on social engagement with different communities and working with different groups of people.
  • The importance of the family and home culture on the behaviour of the employees and their mentality towards diversity and inclusion.
  • The impact of the previous data on the employees’ attitude and behaviour while at work at HH, their comfort, their productivity and performance.

We’ve used a google form to collect the required data and are working at the moment on the data analysis. Will be happy to share with you our results in the coming updates/blogs.

Other key updates

Our technical team is always trying to improve the platform and stay up to date with new technologies. We’ve done a system upgrade to ensure we deliver the best performance to our customers. Alongside, we’ve progressed some of the current features we already have, like giving recruiters the ability to download job descriptions as a pdf so it’s easier to share with candidates. Additionally, we’ve added flexibility to the fee structure for Portal employers working with PSL agencies. Plus we’ve added a new search bar to help employers search for candidates within their database.

What’s Happening Now/Next

As mentioned earlier, once our DnI internal report is ready we will be looking at how we implement that into the platform, providing a way for employers to capture Dnl data and presenting it to them in a way that makes it easier to identify bias, patterns and/or trends. We hope this insight will help them make the right decisions while growing their team.

We have also started working on a new feature to allow employers to share a candidate’s CV with hiring managers without having to create an account for the hiring manager on the Hiring Hub platform. This will make it easier for them to review a candidate when they are temporarily involved in the process, accelerating candidate feedback and the hiring process. More about this feature and its value in our next update.

What You Can/Could/Should Do Now
