Hiring Hub Product Update – What we did in June

This blog post is a short summary of the great work the HH tech team has been working on during the month of June 2019. As ever, any thoughts are very welcome.

Notifications

This month, our notifications went live for our users! An exciting time for the team as these have been in the making for some time.  The purpose of these notifications is to quickly take our users to where they need to be in the app to take action, thereby seeing an even faster time-to-hire.

A pulse check with our users showed us how valuable the notifications were. Just being able to easily navigate to the job hubs and candidate profiles has greatly improved the user experience. Great to hear that our users are finding our developments valuable!

This isn’t the end for notifications, however. More to come soon!

Jobs Index Page

In our last update, we mentioned that we were working on overhauling our mobile experience. The purpose behind this is to give our users a more native-like experience on their mobile devices.

During our analysis phase, we identified some areas that could do with a refresh which would enhance the mobile, as well as, the desktop experience. One such area was the jobs index list.

It was looking a bit crowded and fresh out of 2001. What we needed was a clean, simple, new list that easily took users where they wanted to go.

So, we came up with this…

The page is much easier to use as there are fewer links available. Now, this takes you directly to the new job hub, where all the relevant information is stored. Fewer links doesn’t mean less accessibility however – we’ve kept all the good bits of getting to the job profile, agencies tab and kanban board; they just look tidier now.

We’ve been working on the ease of finding jobs on the page too. We’ve done away with pagination and implemented an infinite scroll. In addition to this, we’ve improved the filters available on the page and added a search capacity. Now, our users can search for the job title or location of the job and get instant results!

More to come next month on this so stay tuned!

Agency Metrics

In any marketplace, reviews and performance metrics are great features for users on both sides. In our case, our agencies want to see how they’re performing on the platform, which is beneficial for our employers to help make decisions on who to work with.

As such, we’ve been working on refreshing the metrics that are displayed to our agencies. We’ve focussed on average number of CVs submitted per role, interview rate and percentage rate. Alongside this, we’ve included some financial metrics so our agencies can see the potential of the great work they do on the platform.

No snapshots just yet as we’re tweaking our design – but they’re coming!
