HH Product Update – What we did in January

Hello and welcome to the January edition of the Hiring Hub product update!

This month has been a stellar month here at Hiring Hub HQ, if we say so ourselves. We’ve had a month of progressing new features for our users and shipping lots of other features that are now ready for their debut.

What’s new for employers?

Agency Profile Page

Last month, we talked at length about the new recruitment agency profile page we had been building. Great news – it is now live for our agency and employer users!

This will allow agencies to better showcase their skills and experience, while allowing our employer users to be more self-serving with agency selection for their vacancies.

The focus of the page is to highlight the performance of the agency, by surfacing performance metrics alongside placement and engagement history. It also allows employers to see information about specific specialisms of the recruitment agency, and how they qualify their candidates. Side note – we’re working on making sure the metrics are perfect before we display them, so sit tight. Good things come to those who wait.

Initial feedback thus far has been positive, with a sleeker and more user friendly design.

Employer Performance Metrics

In order to give our employer users a measure of their success on Hiring Hub, users can now view their average time to hire on their dashboard.

This metric is calculated from job posted to job offer accepted. Of course, this is highly dependent on the sector of the job being posted and the experience level – e.g time to hire for a tech lead in a niche programming language may be significantly longer than a sales representative.

To provide context for the user’s time to hire, we’ve included the Hiring Hub average time to hire figure, and that of the recent SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) report. Now, employers can track their time to hire versus two external sources to get a rounded view of their recruitment.

The aim with this metric is two-fold: to give employers an understanding of how long their recruitment is taking, and from that, help them to identify where they can be more efficient in their process.

Any HH employers reading this, check it out and let us know what you think!

What’s new for agencies?

Displaying Employer Performance To Agency Users

With the new agency profile page being focussed around agency performance, it was only fair that we display employer performance to the recruitment agencies who want to work on a role.

Now, recruitment agency users can view the employer user average feedback time before they engage on a role, and track this once they have been engaged.

Not only does this give the agency clarity on the relationship they can expect to have with the employer, but it also holds the employer user to account if their feedback time is greater than that they committed to when posting the role.

Feedback from our agency users has been good – specifically now that they can gauge performance before engaging and use their engagement in a more considered fashion.

Agency Fees Metrics

As you may know, recruitment agencies pay a monthly fee to Hiring Hub to use the platform and access live, qualified jobs. As with any purchase, users want to be reassured that they made the right decision with their purchase and that it will prove to be fruitful.

This is what we’re going to display to our recruitment agencies on their dashboard. Every time they make a placement, the total count of their fees will increase with the value of that placement. Any agencies reading this, you can check this out on your dashboard on the ‘Total Fees’ widget.

To add some fun to the feature, we’ve included a whimsical idea of what our agencies could possibly spend their earnings on. To give you an idea of some of the things, think several hundred burgers from a well known chain, or perhaps a helping hand around the house from a more mechanical being.. It’s a robot. Who doesn’t want a robot?!

HH agencies, take a look at your account and let us know your thoughts. We have an ideas pot going for whimsical icons for the widget too. All ideas welcome.
