HH Product Update – What we did in September

This update is brief summary of all the great work Hiring Hub Tech has been working on during the month of September. As ever, let us know if you have any comments or questions.

A moment to reflect..

This month, the team have spent some time reflecting on the achievements of the last 3 months. Lots of great work has been done to improve the features on the platform for our beloved users, and also to make us slicker as a tech team. If there’s anything you’ve really enjoyed about your experience in the last few months, please let us know!

We’ve also been planning for the next 3 months and we’re pretty excited about what’s to come.

Our focus areas for the coming quarter are on some key business outcomes around engagement, growth and optimisation.

Stay tuned to upcoming product updates to see what we’re up to!

Employer Metrics

You may have read in previous product updates that we were working on performance metrics for our agency users. Now that these are complete, we thought it best to bring some actionable insights to our employer users by creating performance metrics for them!

The prototype we’re building will tell our employer users what their average feedback time on Hiring Hub is, and how they compare to the overall Hiring Hub average time for all our employer users. This is what it looks like:

When we say average response time, what we mean specifically is the elapsed time between a CV being submitted and the first action being taken on that candidate – for example asking more questions to the recruitment agency, inviting the candidate to an interview or even rejecting the candidate.

The purpose of creating this prototype metric is to enable our recruitment agency users to assess the quality of our employer users before engaging on roles. This also helps employers understand how long they are taking to give feedback, and should help them improve and ensure they don’t lose the right candidate.

Post a job form

We told you last month about the work we’ve been doing to upgrade the user experience for our employer users when they post their first job.

Good news.. It’s ready! This has been a big piece of work for us and we’re so glad that we get to share it with our new employers now.

In the process of working on the ‘Post a job’ form, we had many discussions about the user experience for our employer users using this form on Internet Explorer. As this is no longer fully supported by Microsoft, we took the decision to follow suit and it will no longer be supported for new users to Hiring Hub. From a user experience perspective, other browsers (Google Chrome, Safari, FireFox and Edge) are more responsive and allow us to make better use of newer technology. If you use Hiring Hub on Internet Explorer and you’d like to discuss this with us, please get in touch.

Notifications

This month, we’ve been working on another notification for our recruitment agency users, designed to alert recruitment agencies when their candidate has been marked as a duplicate. This notification will be with our agency users before they know it, so let us know what you think if you see it!
